I am pleased to be able to tell you that, The Aromatherapists Society can offer you a really excellent insurance scheme at what we believe to be a very competitive price.

For the basic premium of only £45.00 the cover will include:

*A Limit of Indemnity of £2,000,000 any one claim, unlimited in the aggregate.

*Public and Products Liability including Treatment Risk.

*Basic cover to include non-manipulative soft-tissue massage and aromatherapy.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF COVER.

General Public Liability sometimes called ‘trip and slip’ cover, to protect you should a client or other third party or their personal representative take legal action against you alleging injury, illness or death. Cover applies anywhere in the world but you must be resident in the UK.

Treatment Liability to protect you should a client allege that your treatment has caused them physical or mental injury, illness or death. Cover applies in Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.

Products Liability to protect you if you use or sell products (either proprietary brands or products you make or blend yourself) and the purchaser or user subsequently claims that the product caused injury, illness, death or damage to their property. Cover applies anywhere in the world except exports to the USA or Canada.

Damage to Property of third parties arising out of your alleged negligence. Cover applies anywhere in the world but you must be resident in the UK. You must pay the first £50 of any claim.

Indemnity Limit £2,000,000 – this is the maximum amount insurers will pay for one claim but is unlimited in the aggregate. The special bit about this clause is that, if you decide to take a year or two off and do not renew your premium, you will still be covered retrospectively if any claims are made against you during the time that you were insured. This is an unusual and very valuable clause.

Legal costs and Expenses incurred with the insurer’s consent, in defending any claim.
